How are we professional?
• Our standards are higher than our ceilings are. Our gear is pro-quality. Our space is clean, well-lit and odor-free. Our staff respects you, your time and your investment.
• We keep a calendar, take deposits on every session and confirm appointments in advance. Your recording session will be tons of fun – but it’s a professional appointment, not a casual get-together.
• Your projects are backed up nightly, in triplicate, so that a hard-drive failure will never destroy your work.
• Old sessions are archived to digital tape and kept indefinitely. Want to remix or re-record? Chances are, we’ll be able to recover your original multitrack sessions years from now.
How are we people-oriented?
• Our lounge and kitchen are yours to use, and we keep a quality selection of coffee and tea on hand for you. Because you may be here a while.
• We host regular networking events, workshops and other opportunities to connect with your area music community. Because personal and musical growth don’t happen in a vacuum.
• If you’re a growing musician or sound engineer, you can hone your craft in production classes or one-on-one with our lead recording engineer. If you’re a pro-level musician or engineer, we can hire you – to perform at Chicago-area events.
